You’re birthing quadruplets, NOW. What do you name two boys and two girls? Try middles from the list too if you’re really brave.

How about Sincere, Patience and Precious? Or not!
Hmmm… the girl’s names are definitely getting trickier… though I like quite a few of the boy’s names – particularly Knox, Matias, Finley, Rudy, Maxim, Valentin, Soren, Eugene, Sage, Matthias, Valentino, Luka, Marley and Augustus.
So I’d go with either:
Finley
Sage
Evie
Cecelia
OR
Augustus
Maxim
Paloma
Giovanna (I don’t love this name, but couldn’t find many others to fit with the subset)
Clark & Augustus, Patience & Celia.
I don’t pick middle names for this game because we use family names as middles, so I would never realistically just pick middles off a list.
Zara, Kallie, Gauge, and Rudy.
That was really hard.
Maxim Finley
Harper Ellis
Evie Corinne
Zara Clare
Vance
Brice
Janae Emmalee
Felicity Monserrat
Finley Augustus
Soren Ellis
Celia Judith
Lorelai Mara
or
Giada Clare
Marisa Judith
Luka Finley
Franco Ellis
Matilda Renee
Anabel Clare
Leonard Mathias
Augustus Sage
(Tillie, Ana, Leo and Gus!)
Several fine Scottish names rank in the 700s, among them 3 from my family. So improving on my Scottish theme for the 600s:
Duncan Finley
Lewis Knox
Matilda Ellen
Annabel Clare
Scots connections for these names (from “Scottish Forenames” Edinburgh, 2005):
DUNCAN – Two Scottish kings bore the name; the name occured regularly among the noble families of Scotland as a forename and became also a surname.
FINLEY – Alternative spelling of Finlay, a form of the name of MacBeth’s father. The name is not uncommon in early Scottish records and has continued in regular use. Finlay ranked 12th among names given to boys born in Scotland in 2009.
LEWIS – From the French Louis, brought to England by the Normans and soon found its way to Scotland. The name was popular among the Gordon family. In 2009 Lewis ranked #2 in Scotland.
KNOX – not in the Scottish name book, but well-known as the surname of the Scots clergyman John Knox, the founder of Presbyterianism.
MATILDA – The name was introduced to Britain due to William the Conqueror, who married Matilda of Flanders. The name came early to Scotland as David II married Maud or Matilda, Countess of Northampton. The name was long prominent in the blood royal and among titled families. Maud is the contracted form of Matilda.
ELLEN – This form of Helen has been popular in Scotland.
ANNABEL – In Scots records since 1296, among them Annabel Drummond, Queen Consort of Robert III and mother of James I. She is described in Scott’s novel, “The Fair Maid of Perth”.
CLARE – The Italian order of the Sisters of St Clare, or ‘Poor Clares’, founded in the 13th century, made the name popular throughout Europe, including Scotland.
Love these names!
Iliana Evie, Cecelia Ingrid, Nikolai Cedric and Matias Alvaro.
This lot was very difficult.
Finley and Lewis (this is my top pick if I ever have a boy)
Selah and Clare
Guess I like L’s
Annabel Ingrid, Conrad Matthias, Rosemary Matilda, and Soren Augustus
Very Germanic for me, but I truly love all these names.
I love these lists so much! The girls were difficult today, but the boys were alright. Here are my choices!
Larissa Mara
Paloma Clare
Matthias Jordyn
Nikolai Leonard
Selah Clare
Zion Anabella
Van Augustus
Ellis Conrad
Iliana Renee
Zara Corinne
Quintin Matthias
Dax Roland
I like this list a lot better than the last one.
Paloma, Azul, Ramiro and Maxim
Nikolai Conrad
Duncan Valentin
Rosemary Judith
Ingrid Felicity
It’s tempting to give them all the same number of syllables either 2-3 or 3-2, but I like the flow better when it all mixed up.
Duncan Knox
Clark Ellis
Annabel Felicity
Clare Ellen
Ingrid Felicity Corinne
Conrad Augustus Ramiro
Duncan Justus Valentino
Sharon Judith Annabel
I just cant get away from the O ending boy names. Plus able to match all three names of the sibs in style and feeling. Hard consonant ending, soft ending, o ending, old fashiony feeling goodness.
Luka Emery
Elisha Finley
Marisa Ingrid
Matilda Luz
Regina Luz
Ingrid Clare
Leonard Dax
Rex Lewis
I’m kinda smitten with Rex Lewis.
Van Luka
Rex Killian
Evie Felicity
Luz Mara
Conrad Eugene, Mara Annabel, Patience Rosemary, Rex Leonard
I loved more of this set than most of the others, it was so hard to pick! Content with this one though (:
I was very worried when I started this, as one of the first names I came across was the offensively terrible Alexzander. I feared that this would set the tone, and was pleasantly surprised to find some lovely jewels amongst a lot of horrible names!
Once again, the girls didn’t go quite as planned, since their Germanic names don’t really go well with the Latin theme of Maxim and Augustus. But how could I resist sisters called Matilda and Ingrid?
Maxim Lewis Conrad
Augustus Cedric Matthias
Ingrid Elaine Annabel
Matilda Ellen Amina
Finley Conrad
Ellis Roland
Matilda Clare
Annabel Evie
They don’t look like siblings. Quite surprised to see Dominique under girls.
You mean under boys?
The only Dominique I ever met personally was a pipe-smoking French man.
Yes, I did mean that. I’ve had tee many martoonies.
Pipe smoking Frenchman? That’s just awesome.
Dominique has been charting for boys since forever almost hehe. It’s actually higher for boys now than for girls.
Soren and Sage;
Campbell and Kenna
finley matthias, lewis nikolai, paloma annabel clare and marisa rosemary ellen. i couldn’t find a third name for the boys!
Rosemary Matilda
Paloma Corinne
Roland Killian
Matthias Alvaro
Emery Augustus
Conrad Mathias
Annabel Ingrid
Rosemary Matilda
My names:
Mathias, Augustus, Cecelia & Giovanna
Lewis Conrad
Finley Roland
Cecelia Ellen
Marlene Annabel
OR
Van Matthias
Ellis Duncan
Averie Clare
Marisa Felicity
Knox Eugene
Augustus Vance
Lilianna Clare
Corinne Mara
These are getting easier and easier for me. Six of these eight names have actually been on our lists, and one probably would have been *the* name had #4 been a boy.
Augustus Finley (Gus)
Lewis Cedric (Lewey)
Matilda Felicity (Tilly)
Rosemary Patience (Romy)
Man, now I want quadruplets
Cecelia, Ingrid, Duncan and Lewis
Soren Matthias
Finley Sage
Celia Rosemary
Zara Corinne
Annabel Ingrid
Rosemary Matilda (Romy)
Soren Augustus
Clark Lewis
Jaime, did you see my choices? Three out of four of our names, firsts and middles, are EXACTLY the same. You have great taste Mama.
There’s a high end restaurant here in Portland, OR (home of the end of the Oregon Trail) named Clark Lewis.
Duncan Knox
Clark Randall
Matilda Clare
Rosemary Ellen
I almost had Lewis and Clark, but then I said the list out loud and decided against it. No need to set up the “Will your next child be named Sacajawea?” comments, even hypothetically.
Ingrid Cecelia
Matilda Rosemary
Soren Matthias
Lewis Finley
Duncan, Rex, Matilda, and Ingrid.
Duncan is really just so I don’t have a nameless boy. I debated that or Clark. I have a love-hate relationship with Matilda that isn’t entirely healthy.
Annabel, Corinne, Lewis, and Harper. Not brave enough to try middle names.
Again, lots of girl names I like here, but the boys were kind of brutal. Some names I like individually, but it was hard to make a sibset that didn’t look like it was named by a schizophrenic (rejected options include Sincere, Valentin, Soren, Rory, Nikolai, Justus, and Natalya, Lorelei, Ingrid, etc.–they all fit together really nicely as a Puritan/Russian/German/Nordic/Irish sibset, right?).
So…
Clare Matilda
Rosemary Patience
Augustus Clark
Conrad Sage
This one was the hardest yet to come up with a complete set of names. i liked many of the names indvidually but not as one of four… bleh.
Cedric Darwin
Duncan Lewis
Felicity Ingrid
Matilda Ellen
Cedric, Duncan, Felicity, and Matilda
(Ced, Dunc, Flissy/Lissy, Tilly/Tilda)
Clark Leonard
Rory Cedric
Annabel Matilda
Ingrid Rosemary
Matilda Regan
Ingrid Rosemary
Justus Dax
Matthias Killian
I love the girls names, but don’t like the boys at all!
Here are my well-traveled quints:
Amina Felicity
Ingrid Paloma
Leonard Valentino
Gilberto Augustus
Mina, Iggy, Leo, Gil
I can’t choose for this one! Girls would be either two of Paloma, Rosemary, Patience and Matilda. I think I’ll go with :
Patience Paloma Ingrid
Rosemary Selah Matilda.
As for boys, I could barely pick two names that I liked! I think I’d go with Cedric and Valentin, though.
Cedric, Valentin, Patience and Rosemary.
Not the most cohesive set of quadruplets, I must admit.
Elvira
Leanna Jenny Matilda
Paloma Paula Clare
Maxim Lewis Cedric
Duncan Leonard Clark
That was really hard. I liked a lot girl names and only a few boy names: Clark I didn’t like much, but it went along well!
LOVE this!
Ok, my 2 girls are Rosemary and Annabel (runners up Matilda and Paloma), and 2 boys are Clark and Finley.
This was easy for me – the names I like stood out a mile. It makes me wish that someone would say “Here is your list of 100 names to choose from and you must choose ONE.” It would make choosing a baby name SO much easier!!
Valentino, Luka, Annabel & Matilda
Lorelai Clare
Salma Corinne
Matthias
Finley
It was really hard to pick the boy names…though I do really like Finley since it’s a variation of my maiden name.
Conrad Darwin
Duncan Cedric
Rosemary Susan
Ingrid Cecelia
I’m not sold on Duncan, or the symmetry of the two boys’ initials but alas, it is the best I could find.
I do like the girls’ names though, I would actually name my children those names.
Felicity, Rosemary, Conrad and Rex. Although I might switch Conrad for Duncan.
The girl’s section is stellar. Runners-up for me would be Patience and Paloma.
The boy’s section is stark. Out of the entire list, the only one I’m crazy about is Rex. Conrad and Duncan I only really like.
Augustus Clark, Cedric Mathias, Felicity Ellen, and Patience Annabel!
Matthias Nikolai
Valentin Rex
Ingrid Paloma
Celia Angelique
Iliana Clare
Araceli Patience
Korbin Ellis
Jagger Mathias
kind of a mash up of some of my favorite names!!!
Rosemary, Felicity, Duncan and Augustus.
I’m not too keen on the boy names in general. I would use Matthias except that I have a Matthew.
It was a close call between Annabel or Felicity, but Felicity won out.
Roland Leonard
Finley Valentino
Annabel Milagros
Paloma Luz
I can’t believe Sanaa is on this list. Are people naming their kids after Yemen’s capital, or am I missing something?
Clark, Duncan, Felicity, and Rosemary
Regina Luz
Paloma Judith
Augustus Rex
Leonard Ellis
Matthias Eugene, Augustus Brice, Cecelia Emilie and Annabel Patience
That was hard especially for the girls.
Matilda Clare
Annabel Sage
Finley Clark
Rex Harper
Rosemary Annabel Celia
Regina Paloma Patience
Augustus Maxim Valentin
Dominique Lewis* Eugene
*Would greatly prefer Louis!
Soren
Rudy
Cecilia
Ingrid
Ingrid Angelique
Rosemary Iliana “Romy”
Cedric Jorden
Soren Clark
Jorden Ellis
Bo Finley
Evie Clare
Averie Ingrid
Lewis Maxim Sage
Bo Conrad Valentin
Regina Celia Luz (nn Ina)
Mara Giada Patience
This one wasn’t too hard actually
I really love all the names!
Leonard Quintin Lewis “Leo”
Augustus Valentin Roland “Gus”
Rosemary Annabel Clare “Rosie”
Matilda Cecelia Felicity “Tilly”
Leonard, Augustus, Rosemary and Matilda.
Love it!
Susan Matilda Zara Patience
Felicity Ellen Emilie Ingrid
Duncan Sage Roland
Rex Quintin Ellis
I am addicted now – cannot wait for 800-899!
Felicity Marlene (Lissy)
Matilda Clare (Tillie)- prefer Claire
Lewis Irvin
Duncan Matias
While some of the names here get crazier, the ones that are left I would actually use:
Matilda Judith
Rosemary Ellen
Soren Ellis
Duncan Lewis
Augustus Clark
Cedric Ellis
Clare Judith
Matilda Ingrid
I would name them ~
Matilda Emilie
Zara Annabel
Mathias Killian
Finley Augustus
Paloma, Ingrid, Ellis and Cedric.
I wish I didn’t find this so late!
Felicity Lorelai
Rosemary Annabella
Quintin Valentino
Clark Zechariah
I love all of these first names and would use them all in real life. Felicity, Rosemary, Quintin and Clark rolls off the tongue so nicely, no? I Iike that the first names all have a different syllable count (4,3,2,1). I’m kind of loving the middles, now, too.
I change my ‘Cecelia’ to ‘Marlene’
Duncan Matthias
Lewis Roland
Celia Rosemary (middle in honor of family)
Annabel Susan (middle in honor of close friend)
The boys’ names aren’t favorites, but they are ones I admire. I adore Celia, and Annabel is sweet, too.
Annabel Clare Corrine
Chaya Rosemary Kiersten
Mathias Finley – “Matt”
Luka Soren
