Create a Sibset

by You Can't Call It "It"! on June 18, 2010

Ready to play a game?

I’m in the mood for a game.  We’re going to the water park today with my little girls (and their matching pink polka dots swimsuits!  I can’t help myself), and I feel like having fun with you guys.

Let’s inspire each other.  Except for the last two, each sibset consists of 4 children, two boys and two girls.

Categories as follows:

1 ) Sounds like a Law Firm

2 ) Nature Inspired

3 ) Their politics are apparent

4 ) Named for fictional characters

5 ) Parents are sports fiends

6 ) From mythology

7 ) No more than four letters each

8 ) No fewer than 8 letters each

9 ) All boys

10 ) All girls

Lovely! As for #7…we have an Iris. Had she been a boy, she’d have been Hugo. And Ruby was one of the runners up for our first daughter. How funny. :)

You have great taste! Iris is one of my favorite names. I’m still pretty far away from having kids, but if I had to choose a name for a daughter right now, it would probably be Eleanor Iris.

Change the last name to Georgiana.

Of 1)-8), the ones I most likely would use on my own child include Lily, Kennedy, Landry, Emma, Genevieve and Madeleine.

Numbers 9)-10) are all my favorites for boys and girls, and they happen to work nicely as sibsets.

Another favorite is my grandmother’s name, Eva. Two more favorites for boys are family names: Miller and Grady, nn Gray. I’m also starting to like Day as a nn for David.
