It’s no secret that the burgeoning bevy of beauties over at Victoria’s Secret is procreating. So while as much as I already hate them for what I know will be picture perfect bodies even postpartum, I thought it only my duty to offer a few suggestions to the well-named Karolina, Adriana, Heidi, and Gisele.
Not that they need my help, per se. Former angel Laetitia Casta and her partner Stefano Accorsi just welcomed daughter Athena. She joins big brother Orlando, and big sister Sahteene, daughter with Stéphane Sednaoui. Well done, Laetitia, and congratulations!
Sadly, this post comes too late for Angie Everhart and her darling baby boy, Kayden Bobby. Angie’s full name evidently is Angela Kay, hence her son is her namesake. Bobby too is a family name, but I might have gone with something like Kassian Robert.
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady need something ethereal for a girl yet rather down-to-Earth and conservative for a boy to pair with big brother John Edward Thomas, methinks. Charles or Elodie? Louis or Apolline?
To Karolina Kurkova and Archie Drury I bequeath a name that works in multiple languages. I’m liking Rafaela or Katarina for a girl, Pascal or Gregory (used in full) in a boy.
Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric’s first child warrrants a romantic name, á la Ariadne (one letter different from mom’s name) or Philo. Keep in mind, these babies will be so beautiful they can pull anything off. Iolanthe or Niko also come to mind.
And last but not least we arrive at Heidi Klum and Seal’s little girl, whom they’ve declared to be their fourth and final child. She will join Leni, Henry, and Johan, and be the daughter of Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel. While their taste strikes me as more conservative than meets the eye, they might go out on a limb a bit with this one. Still within a certain comfort zone, I respectfully suggest Colette, a diminutive like mom’s name with the meaning of “victory”, taken from dad’s Olusegun. I offer Ursula as well, which might appeal to Heidi’s sense of patriotism (edited to remove Oscar and Tobias which, while lovely names, would not wear well on a young lady.
OK girls, are you reading?
Anyone else want to take a stab at this?

What a fun list! Can’t wait to see what they’re all called.
Love this list!
Lovely list! (Though my gossipy addled mind feels compelled to add that Heidi and Seal have confirmed their child will be a girl. I still hope some star baby gets Tobias as a name, because it’s great.)
Oh– I knew that! I even said so in the post. Silly me.. editing accordingly…
Okay, here are my guesses. Your choices are so much better than mine, but I tried.
For Heidi & Seal, Louisa, Liesel, Romy or Hania
For Karolina & Archie, Katia or Milena for a girl, or Klement or Jack Valentin for a boy. I love your choice of Katarina for them.
For Gisele & Tom, Satine or Camilla for a girl (Is Victoria too obvious of a guess for her? (haha) For a boy, I pick William, (nn Wills or Liam) or Nicholas (nn Cole) to go with John Edward Thomas nn Jack.
For Adriana & Marko, I pick Francesca, Estela, or Anya for a girl and Cisco or Mateo for a boy.
Love Hania and Milena!
Adriana won’t go for Anya though– Anja’s already taken by Alessandra Ambrosio’s little girl.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about her.
I can’t wait to see what these “Angels” come up with.
I love Colette. So pretty.
I love the name Elodie. Having a sort of unique name myself, I want to give my daughter, due in Jan 2010, a name that is strong and helps her stand out. The problem is EVERYONE hates it! MIL, FIL, friends, co-workers. So much so I have all but abandoned it, however when I read it I fall in love again. Any suggestions on how to get over this initial dislike from loved ones?
Yep, you have to completely ignore the opinions of family and friends and go with what you love. Elodie is a beautiful name and as your loved ones grow used to it and your daughter grows into such a gorgeous name, they will forget their initial dislike.
I think Elodie is a lovely name! I’m so sad you’re striking out with the friends and family. Ultimately, I think if you give your child a name you love, explain a great reason to them why you chose it (mommy has a really unique name and wanted you to have a strong name that is feminine and different) she will probably grow up to love it too.
Best with your name choice and a healthy delivery!
Elodie is so melodious, how can they not love it?
Because they are unfamiliar with it. It is part of the human condition to fear the unfamiliar. If Elodie is in your heart, please go with it. I have no doubt that naysayers will soon be saying what a lovely name it is, how much it suits her, and how it’s grown on them.
Yes, care not what others think. When I named my son Spike, my grandmother was so horrified she told me it was child abuse and wrote a welcome card and called the baby “Graham”. So funny. Eventually she came around and then one day out of the blue told me how much he suited his name, as his hair stuck straight up. People get over it.
I also think babies tell you what they want to be called, so if your girl is telling you Elodie and you feel it in your heart then do it!
Life is too short to live with a boring name.
glad i stumbled across this post from google.. so hott! thx
