Ming & Aoki

Kimora Lee’s done it now.  She had another baby, and named him well!  Kenzo Lee Hounsou entered the world several days ago, joining big sisters Aoki Lee and Ming Lee from a previous marriage to Russell Simmons.  She and Djimon Hounsou reportedly tied the knot in Africa not long ago.

Kenzo is a traditional Japanese name.  According to Wikipedia, it has multiple meanings depending on the characters one chooses to write it.  The first three listed, wise, healthy, and humble three, seem particularly appropriate for the third addition to her brood.  They were also inspired by Japanese fashion mogul Kenzo Takada.

Transliterations of Kenzo:

  • 賢三, “wise, three”

  • 建造, “build, create”
