As I’m in the midst of analyzing the astounding number of results from the Your Top 20 post (thank you!), I thought I’d tide us over with another Kids in the Store list. As many of you know the shop is an international big city neighborhood in the Northeast. Lots of beautiful newborns this week, with old and venerable names. August’s mama told me that he and Augustina, though unrelated, were roommates in the hospital. This is my very first Isla, fourth real life Oscar in the same number of months (though he is English), and umpteenth Sophia, Zoe, Lily, and Liam (don’t get me wrong, these names are lovely, just very popular). Booker, Cash, and Redding are all named for musicians (Booker T. and the MGs, named for civil rights leader Booker T. Washington, Johnny Cash, and Otis Redding). This is another bubbling trend in my ‘hood as some of you will remember a young blond Coltrane from a few weeks back.
Feel free to continue to add your additions of the children you meet! I think we’d all like that to be an ongoing thing.
